Another … one of these mornings

My impatience often gets the better of me – I admit.

So when I posted this video a few weeks back, I could see that it was incomplete as it didn’t really tell a whole story, and someone even pointed out in the comments that it didn’t make sense because one moment my car was there, and the next it wasn’t.

So today I’m republishing an updated version. Take 2. The Directors cut. It’s … another one of these mornings.

Whatever you want to call it, that’s fine … as mainly I’ve added in a shower scene (Which to me sounds like a promotional line off of bad 1970’s porn movie!), and made sense of the fact that my car is no longer there.

It’s relevant though, because today I fly home to England for two week, and people here (USA) keeping asking me how long I’m there (UK) for, and when I’m coming back, and I keep joking by saying that I’ll not be coming back.

But I’m coming back. (Which reminds me of a Captain Jack line out of a Doctor Who epsiode). No really. The plan is to come back. See you in 2009.

I’m glad that’s your plan, because you’ll have some disc-shaped stuff cluttering your mailbox upon your return. Merry Christmas and travel safely – and enjoy some proper tea and puddings for me!

I noticed when you are driving on the street, you tend to stay near the left side near the yellow line. Is that because you are british? LOL. Also, please have someone check your house while you are away!!

Nice butt crack in this one.

i have a very hard time taking the shower scene seriously….for two reasons. one – b.c its a shower scene. and two – the flowery shower curtain kind of kills that angsty brooding thing. 🙂

I prefer the first one, it leaves more to the imagination (except for the crack of course)

rudi – CD in the mail for you too. promise.

i veer towards the left side because i’m a bad driver! if I ever drove in New Orleans tami, you would no doubt pull me over and give me a ticket for speeding! 🙂

my crack is awesome. seriously. one of these days i’m going to get more naked than that.

Glad to hear you have gone ‘home’ for the holidays. Cheers!

Well, I have to say I chuckled. Somehow I’m moved by the fact that a comment I made on a blog post caused a man on the other side of the country to film himself driving down the street in his car. I’m appointing myself as Continuity Director.

I like this version a lot, actually. It’s a lot more well-rounded as you say yourself. Although unless I’m much mistaken you’ve changed “gone” from “dead” to “off in a huff” which I think loses some of the poignancy. Couldn’t you just leave it ambiguous by skipping the “airport” sign?

Please give us advance warning the time you’re going to get more naked…

  9. tata says:

Totally agree with Chris R that the airport sign totally gives away too much.

It was stronger in the first version. A lot more impact….

As for the car not being in the drive at the end, that seemed intentional. Like, you’re gone. I like it not being there.

And the shower scene is gratuitous. We don’t need your but crack. The stomach shot at the computer is enough. Almost too much body.

Can confirm that you are a crappy driver.

You ARE going back are you not? (To the States I mean..) Ever think about exploring Canada?
