Yes, I was only referrring to on the road and motel food being bland, whenever we had a meal in a diner or restaurant I enjoyed it very much. Hot, quick, tasty and good portions. Relatively cheap too, there was a lot of waste though, both food and packaging. I don’t think recycling has caught on too much, all those plastic plates and cutlery being thrown away in the trash surprised me. Here in England recyclng has become almost a religion!

@chuck, missouri was nice! it’s weird how you just get a feeling about a certain town or city, and how that can extend to a whole state. Missouri = Nice. Indiana = Less so!

I am very glad you and your Mom enjoyed visiting Missouri.

As you may recall, I was in charge of promoting it for 4 years.

The slogan I inherited was “Missouri Loves Company.” Yikes.

I want one of those moonshine burgers! The part of the video in the beginning when you were parked outside the high rise it looked like a council estate . Great video, I am glad to see those small towns!

my mum i think was basically referring to the “on the road” food that she has to eat. in the few occasions that we ate out properly (e.g. in New Orleans), it was lovely.

looking at the video, the population of Moonshine is 2 – except during lunch!

and if the English say your food is tasteless and bland, you know it’s got to be awful…
