16. Watch out, Beagle’s about
As the trip continues, and I get more tired, I confess that I’m finding it harder and harder to make the effort to produce video whilst on the road, and thus are a few days behind.
So this is from last week, when Nik was still with me. The day started in Montana, but we made a long drive west to Idaho, because we had somewhere rather special where we wanted to stay the night.
[For Americans who won’t understand my dreadful pun: There used to be a show on British TV many years ago called Beadle’s About, presented by a guy named Jeremy Beadle, and the theme tune sang “Watch out! Beadle’s About!”, or something like that.]
• The Dog Bark Park Inn website is here
in fact, i just found it on YouTube here -> Beadle’s About
RIP Jeremy.
Loved it, I’ll be singing ‘You aint nothing but a hound dog all day’.
Looks like you were ‘ruff’-ing it! Good luck with the rest of your trip.
Dennis and Frances are two of the nicest people I’ve ever met – they’re so welcoming. I can’t believe how much Sprocket has grown since May!
What a funny place! I love beagles 🙂 I hope you’re getting some rest and eating some fruit.
On the subject of doggie related puns – did anybody notice as Geoff climbs into the dog’s head he is almost “panting” for breath?
That was soo cute!! Geoff you are starting to look bit tired around the edges and your voice is softer… I think you are getting whipped out on this long trek! Keep it up almost there!!
To want to stay there you must have been barking.
I .. am .. exhausted, yes. but i have to keep going. just over 2 week now, almost done…
The expression you were seeking was used often on radio…”wee paws for station identification.”
