The following questions will test just how in-depth your knowledge of the tube really is!

Try and do them without looking at a copy of the map first of all! When you think you have all the answers, or when you get stuck, check out the answers by following the link at the bottom of the page.


  • There are only two tube stations to have ALL the vowels (A, E, I, O and U) in their names. Which two stations are they?
  • There is only one tube station name that does NOT contain any of the letters that the word MACKEREL does. Which is it?
  • There is only one tube station name that does NOT contain any of the letters that the word BADGER does .. but which?
  • Can you name (without looking at the map!) all four stations on the Piccadilly line that begin with the letter "A" ?
  • What is the ONLY station on the map from which you can get to any other station by changing lines just the ONCE...! (Including the DLR.. Also, I think this question only works PRE the Jubilee Line Extension, yes it's that old!)
  • What is it about Pimlico (Victoria Line), that makes it so unique compared to all the other stations on the line?
  • Do the trains "loop round" in a clockwise or anticlockwise fashion at the Heathrow Terminals (Piccadilly)?
