My Media

Tube World Record

My third attempt to beat the world record on the underground was filmed as part of a series of programmes called 'The Tube'. Episode 3 of this series was called "24 hours" and me and my mate Dave are in about half of it! This is the programme that forever gets repeated on Sky Travel more often than I'd like - due to the bad haircut and sillu three-quarter length shorts that I was wearing on the day.

Following on from that was a TV programme made exclusively following around my fourth attempt around the tube, called "Race around the Underground" - first broadcast on ITV1 (Carlton Region only) on Thursday 16th October 2003.

Zone1 Challenge 2004 - A BBC London crew followed some of us round on the 2004 Zone 1 Challenge day.

Neil Fox mention- When the London Evening Standard ran our story, Capital Radio picked up on it and Neil Fox made us his 'double play' feature of the day. My favourite part is his quote that says he thinks we can't have jobs ...

iPod related

In Da Pod - The movie - When I succesfully completed my iPod quest back in 2004, I made my first ever 'pop-style' video documenting the whole saga and evidence of me actually going and buying the iPod. Music: Pet Shop Boys- "Flamboyant"

Winners and Losers - When '50 pence' got picked up by the mass media, I appeared (briefly!) on a TV show called 'Winners and Losers' (I was a winner! at the end of 2004, where the iPod was the number eight winner, and they included a bit of me!

Miles Mendoza very kindly gave me a mention on his website of the day feature - long after I'd got the money, and got the iPod!
